On 30 August 2016, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) announced adoption of new regulations for “Clear and Reasonable Warnings” under Article 6 of Title 27 California Code of Regulations (Proposition 65). The new regulations, which clarified responsibility to provide consumer product exposure warnings and provided guidance on preparing and transmitting clear and reasonable warnings for consumer products covered by the Act, will take full effect starting from 30 August 2018. In the interim period, either the current or the new version of warning labels may be used.
